Senior Software Engineer

• Architected and scaled a suite of Shopify apps, from product feed management to ad pixels and SEO tools, processing 10M+ daily product updates across Google and Meta for 50,000+ merchants.
• Implemented AI-powered product optimization using GPT APIs and custom Machine Learning models for automated content generation.
• Built server-side conversion tracking for Google, Meta, and TikTok Ads, showing merchants which ads led to sales across millions in monthly ad spend.
• Built 2 "Built for Shopify" certified apps end to end and shipped features across 6 more, all rated 4.3 or higher.
• Rebuilt the ad tracking apps to meet GDPR and Shopify privacy rules, protecting $50K in monthly revenue.
• Lead a team of 3 engineers, setting the technical direction on new apps and reviewing their design and code.

Software Engineer

• Built and launched two SEO apps on the Shopify App Store, one compressing images for faster pages and one redirecting old URLs to protect search rankings.
• Designed cloud-native infrastructure on GCP using Cloud Run, Functions, and Pub/Sub, achieving 99.9% uptime and auto-scaling.
• Cut a core task from 30 minutes to under a minute within 6 months of joining by reworking how it was scheduled and batched.
• Built and maintained REST APIs and internal tools for feed processing pipeline.

• Working with python backend team, developing web app using Flask and FastAPI including data integration for internal projects.
• Development of REST API's as well as maintaining local code bases.
• Participating in peer code reviews to improve the quality of code written by other team members.
• Debugging codes to fix errors and improve performance.
• Testing software for bugs or other issues that may affect functionality or the user experience.
