The site runs a self-hosted Umami instance to count page views. Umami is cookieless: it sets no cookies, assigns no persistent identifier, and does not track visitors across sites or sessions. What it records is aggregate — which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the request came from, referrer, and general device type.

This data lives on infrastructure I control rather than with a third-party advertising network. I use it to know which pages people actually read. It is not linked to you, and it could not be even if I wanted to.

This site sets no cookies. Your theme preference, light or dark, is saved in your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. That value never leaves your browser and is never sent to any server. Clearing your browser data removes it.

The GitHub contribution graph on the home page is fetched on the server, not from your browser, so loading this site does not reveal your visit to GitHub or to the contributions API.

Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X, and other external sites are ordinary links. Following one takes you to that service, where that service's own privacy policy applies rather than this one.

Like any site, requests reach a server and may appear in standard access logs, which typically include an IP address, timestamp, and requested path. These are operational records used to keep the site running and to diagnose problems, not a profile of you, and they are not combined with the analytics data described above.
